Bon Jovi’s newest album is set to be released in June, but Jon Bon Jovi doesn’t feel ready to go on tour and promote it due to after-effects from the vocal cord surgery he had in 2022. The frontman of the band is still recovering, and he can’t give fans any promises on live shows yet.
Jon Bon Jovi’s Recovery
Jon Bon Jovi recently talked about his plans for next year. He told a Boston radio station that he was still recovering from a surgery. The singer explained that one of his vocal cords was as thick as his thumb and he had to get an implant in 2022. However, Jovi said he was still able to write songs and perform, but he just can’t handle a whole tour yet and needs more time to fully recover.
The band finished its last tour shortly before the surgery and is about to make a comeback for its 40th anniversary. Jon Bon Jovi shared he wanted to be able to handle hours of performing over months, which is what a tour requires. He feels motivated to reach that goal and see his fans again.
Bon Jovi’s New Album
Fans will get to hear Bon Jovi’s 16th studio album on June 7th. Jon Bon Jovi described the working process as joyful and said it felt good to be back in the studio. The band will also release a Hulu docuseries called Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story. It will include the band’s past and current members and will be released on April 26th.
Bon Jovi’s former guitarist Richie Sambora will be a part of the series, even though he’s no longer in contact with Jon. The singer still loves and respects his ex-bandmate but hasn’t talked to him for 11 years. Fans have a lot of new content from Bon Jovi to look forward to!
